Placing the AP on-site

  1. Move the AP to its permanent location (accessible to both power and network connections). For installation instructions, refer to the Mounting instructions.

  2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the AP's PoE In port to a network switch or router.

  3. Connect the AP to power using a POE ++ switch, router, or power adapter using CAT 6 cable (or better).

Note: This AP requires 60W PoE++ and CAT 6 (or better) cabling. Make sure the PoE++ switch has enough power for all the connected APs with 20% of the total power budget available (power overhead).

  4. Verify that the AP's PoE port LED is on.

  5. When the AP's LED turns green it has finished booting and does not detect issues.

  6. Verify that you can connect to the previously configured wireless network.
