VMS - E-Map Monitoring

Pro Tip: When a hotspot alarm is activated, you can quickly navigate to here from any interface. Click the alarm icon at the bottom of the interface, then right-click on hotspot alarm item. Select “E-Map” to jump straight here.

Here you can get a bird's-eye view of your mapped devices. When a device gets activated (by motion or what have you) it bounces to alert you.

Settings

Switch to Alarm E-Map: If enabled, the system automatically switches to the E-map in which the alarm occurred.

Auto Alarm View: If enabled, the video stream automatically plays in the right column when an alarm is triggered.

Operations

There are several controls at the top of the map window.

• Click Close All Stream to stop all previews.

• Click Filter Alarm Type to select a custom mix of alarms to monitor.

• Click Overlap to toggle overlaying the preview windows on the map.

The right-hand column has four preview channels that provide several options.

• Select one of the four channels, then double click a camera hotspot to view the stream.

• Hover over a preview channel, and a toolbar displays. Clicking the X on closes that preview.

• For more control, drag any preview channel to the right to open an independent monitoring interface. Choose the screen display mode, source stream, and fullscreen options.
