Create a MAC/DHCP reservation for the primary Control4 controller and devices communicating to the controller to avoid network issues. Use OvrC or your router to do so.

Battery draining quickly — Disable Multicast Enhancement

Some access points have a Multicast Enhancement feature that converts multicast traffic to unicast when possible. This causes access points to constantly communicate with devices like remotes, which prevents the device(s) from going to sleep and drains their battery.

Disable Multicast Enhancement in access points to extend the Halo remote’s (and similar device’s) battery.
