If you cannot perform a Reset All Outlets action directly after the update, use the Schedule feature in OvrC to reset the outlets at a more convenient time.

Improvements

Improved Over-Current Protection (OCP), which is a feature built into each WattBox 800 series unit to protect your gear and installation from instances of excessive current.
Note: A Reset All Outlets action must be performed for the new OCP parameters to take effect. If an outlet is Disabled, the new parameters will not take effect. All outlets must be turned off, then back on.
If you are on site, you can unplug and plug the PDU back in to ensure all outlets have been reset, but this is not a required step.

Security improvements, including enhanced security surrounding HTTPS and SSH functionality.

Fixed UPS bug - When pairing an 800 series PDU with a UPS, if the UPS is configured to shut down outlets before the battery is drained, and the battery completely drains, when power returns, the PDU would ‘remember’ the last state of those outlets being off and not turn them back

on. This only happened to outlets that were set to ‘enabled’. Power does return to outlets that are set to ‘Network reset only’.

Caution: This update adds required adjustments to comply with the California IoT password law in effect as of the start of 2020. This firmware forces a change in your username and password if the defaults (wattbox/wattbox) are still being used.
Note: Adjust the username and password on the control systems used with the IP WattBox.

Known Issues
-
After updating the firmware, you may experience a broken or malformed login page. This is due to cached information in the browser; as such, clearing the cache and settings in your browser resolves the problem.

Once this firmware is installed, you cannot to downgrade to any previous version. We recommend that you back up any configuration on the system and execute the upgrade either while on-site or with a support individual on-site.
