Invite Partners into Your OvrC
With OvrC, you can invite a business partner (such as a remote-management service or a specialist from another company) to assist you with your OvrC customers.
Limitations on partners
For security's sake, these business partners cannot view your employees or the details of your OvrC account. They can only view those customers that you specifically allow for their group.
Business partners do not get credentials to log in to your OvrC account. Rather, they log in to their own account and work through OvrC using the permissions you assign them.
When browsing your users, purple text indicates that the user is a business partner.
Create a custom group
Log in to app.OvrC.com.
Click the Account icon to the left, then click the Groups tab.
Click the + Add Group button.
At the top, type a name for the group. Add a description of the group's purpose.
Grant permissions for activities
Under Global Permissions, decide whether the group can use administrative actions. These permissions do not apply to outside partners; they can never use administrative actions.
Under Customer Permissions, use the toggles to decide whether group members can delete your customers, devices, and locations; and whether or not they are allowed to take snapshots from the customers' surveillance cameras.
Add access to specific customers
Click the Customer Access tab.
By default, your employees have access to all your customers and locations, but business partners do not. You must select which customers your partners can access.
OvrC displays all your customers in a grid. Click a customer to allow the group access to that customer and all of that customer’s locations. Click a customer's dropdown menu to remove access to some of that customer’s locations.
Click Save.
Send an invite
To invite new employees or business partners, click the Account icon to the left. This brings you to the Users tab.
Click the + Add User button.
Type the person's email address in the text box, and select the group(s) to which you want the new user assigned.
You can send multiple invites at once by clicking the small+ Add User button just below the email text box.
Click Submit.
If their address is not associated with an existing OvrC account, they receive an email that invites them to join your company.
If their email address is already attached to an OvrC account, they can accept as an outside consultant.
