Installing Voice for Halo remotes

Halo Voice currently supports Siri with AppleTV, with more options under development.

When Halo is added to the project, the latest control4_agent_voicecoordinator.c4z (v108) is automatically installed.

Before using voice commands, refresh your Navigators and allow 3-4 minutes to start voice.

Note: You must use the Control4-approved IP drivers listed below for voice to work.

AppleTV voice installation

  1. Ensure Siri is enabled in the AppleTV under Settings > General > Siri.

  2. Install and configure IP control with the latest AppleBridge.c4z (v53+) driver.

  3. Install the latest AppleTV.c4z (v50+) driver.

  4. Refresh Navigators and allow 5 minutes to pass before using Voice features.

Pro Tip: Use a wired connection for the AppleTV, give it a DHCP (MAC) reservation, and disable the AppleTV sleep feature for the fastest and most reliable voice experience.

Note: IR control is not supported.
