Customer-facing changes

We are continuously improving the user experience:

  • Pools and Spas — Manage and monitor the status of your pool or spa from the list view of your remote.

  • Deep Sleep Wake Time — The remote wakes faster from deep sleep.

  • Performance Improvements — We've made a number of bug fixes and changes to make your Halo experience more seamless.

Known issues

  • QR Code FTUE does not work if the home network is 192.168.89.0/24

  • From deep sleep mode, waking up the remote with a button press does not send the button press to the system. You have to press the button again.

Bug fixes

  • HALO-4400 — Remotes do not reconnect to the controller after changing the IP address.

  • HALO-4363 — Halo does not reconnect to the controller after a power event.

  • HALO-4390 — While testing an issue with losing/getting network, a Communication error that won’t close appeared only once.

  • HALO-4358 — If a "Poor Signal" message is shown over the sleep screen, the Favorites page might be empty after reconnecting to Wi-Fi.

  • HALO-4360 — Communication Error.

  • HALO-4362 — Communication Error.

  • HALO-4381 — Communication Error.

  • HALO-4314 — "Poor signal" message is delayed.

  • HALO-3193 — Favorites added on the Control4 mobile app don't appear on the remote without refreshing Navigators.

  • HALO-4323 — If Wi-Fi disconnects and connects before the "Poor signal" message is displayed, Sessions can't be controlled and there is an app reconnect if you change Rooms.

  • HALO-4342 — The Shades icon is the same for open and closed states.

  • HALO-4356 — Sometimes, after disabling and enabling Wi-Fi there is a black screen followed by an app reconnection.

  • HALO-4314 — "Poor signal" message is delayed.

  • HALO-4314 — "Poor signal" message late (2:20sec) and is preceded by black screen > When fetching Settings, there is a Communication error if "Poor signal" appears on time. It's always followed by a Wi-Fi reconnect.

  • HALO-4320 — If a Session is activated/turned off after deep sleep, the active Session state is not changed on the Favorites page until the Room is changed.

  • HALO-4171 — Can not download logs through driver until reboot remote

  • HALO-4243 — Halo is unable to read wowl wake up reason.

  • HALO-4206 — The Wi-Fi driver gets stuck and needs a restart to recover the network on the device.

  • HALO-4280 — Waking from sleep message is ~10 sec late. The remote is unresponsive during that period.

  • HALO-4266 — Issue adding the Halo remote to the project after adding the Halo remote hub.

  • HALO-4151 — Two Halo remotes were added to the same room. The first one has voice enabled but the second has voice disabled.

  • HALO-4228 — While Halo is on the charging station, the message "Poor WiFi signal" is displayed despite good signal strength.

  • HALO-4245 — Communication Error. Reboot required.

  • HALO-4248 — Under Blinds, Unknown Reference — Touch Screen States the Room.

  • HALO-4094 — Network Error.

  • HALO-4207 — Network Error.

  • HALO-4112 — The Halo Remote may take 20-45 seconds to 'wake from sleep' after an extended period of inactivity before functioning properly.

  • HALO-2857 — Color programming didn't work after waking from sleep. A reboot solved the issue.

  • HALO-3546 — Volume Status doesn't update in real-time on press and hold. It only updates on button release.

  • HALO-4189 — Redirection from Now Playing to the first MSP's submenu.

  • HALO-4107 — Halo Beta FW Falling offline.

  • HALO-4285 — Can select multiple choices in Comfort > Pools > Pentair > Mode menu.

  • HALO-4109 — Mode popups — Difficult to tell where focus really is when only 2 options

  • HALO-3894 — Verizon FIOS (Motorola QIP-6416-1 (Icon Ready)) Cable Box Driver has no Icon on Halo Remotes/OSN.

  • HALO-4268 — Shades icon remains in its previous fully open or fully closed status until the operation is completed, which is a different experience from touch screens.

  • HALO-4238 — Black screen on Halo remote while testing intermittent Wi-Fi network degradation.

  • HALO-2287 — Qobuz — Missing artwork on Now Playing screen for some items.

  • HALO-2058 — Change Room through Programming is not working.

  • HALO-1745 — Turning Apple TV on or off wakes up the Halo remote.
